Dr. Corey Levenson has over 30 years of business development and scientific management experience at many levels, with specific expertise in drug discovery & development, technology assessment, and licensing. He has worked in the fields of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals in both small and large companies, including Cetus Corporation and Roche Molecular Systems (RMS), ILEX Oncology, OncoVista Innovative Therapies, ViroXis Corporation and Santalis Pharmaceuticals.

At Cetus, Corey developed automated methods of DNA synthesis and labeling techniques used in the development of polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and at Roche he worked on the development of novel DNA labeling methods and nucleic acid-based assays for automated DNA synthesis and implementation of robotics for rapid purification and QC. During his tenure at ILEX, the company succeeded in obtaining marketing approval for two leukemia drugs.

 

 

Corey received his PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of California at San Francisco. He is an author on more than two-dozen publications and is listed as an inventor or co-inventor on sixteen issued US patents and several pending patent applications. He is a long-standing member of the American Chemical Society (ACS), the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
